Getting paid

ShelfB2B supports three ways for buyers to pay you. Which ones your store offers is configured per wholesaler (contact support while the settings page is being rolled out).

ModeMoney flowRequirements
Card at checkoutThe buyer pays at checkout; you receive an automatic payout (minus the marketplace commission) after the platform captures the payment.Connected Stripe payout account
Cash on deliveryYour driver collects payment at the door — cash or your EFTPOS. You keep the full amount; commission is settled with ShelfB2B separately.None — no Stripe needed
Trade terms (net 7/30/60)The buyer pays you directly within the term period after delivery (e.g. by bank transfer). You approve which stores may buy on terms and set their credit limit.None — no Stripe needed

Connecting your payout account (card orders only)

You only need this if you accept card at checkout. COD and trade-terms orders are paid to you directly and never touch Stripe.

Before you start, make sure your business address is filled in under Settings → Store details. Stripe opens your payout account in that country and it cannot be changed afterwards — if it is wrong you have to start over with a new account, so it is worth checking first.

  1. Open Stripe Connect from the sidebar, or tap Setup on the "Setup Stripe Connect account" step of your dashboard checklist.
  2. Tap Connect Stripe. This creates your payout account.
  3. Tap Stripe Onboarding. You will be handed over to Stripe to confirm your business details, identity, and bank account. This is Stripe's own secure form — TradePantry never sees your bank details.
  4. When Stripe finishes its checks the page shows "Your Stripe Account is ready", and payouts for card orders begin automatically.

Stripe may ask for extra information later (this is normal for new accounts). Until it is provided, payouts can be held — the Stripe Connect page reflects your current status, and you can manage the account any time from your own Stripe dashboard via Go to Stripe.

Orders paid on delivery

A COD order shows the payment badge "COD — awaiting collection" — this is the normal state, not a payment failure. The order screen shows a Payment on delivery / terms card with the outstanding amount.

  1. Fulfil and ship the order as usual.
  2. Mark as delivered when the driver completes the drop — this makes the balance collectible.
  3. Tap Record COD collected (next to the fulfilment actions) once the driver has the money. Enter the method (cash / EFTPOS) and an optional reference. Partial amounts are supported.

Once the full amount is recorded, the order flips to Paid for you and the buyer.

If a buyer cannot pay at the door, it is your call: your driver can refuse handover (cancel the fulfilment), or you can deliver anyway — the balance then shows as due and becomes overdue after your grace period, which automatically blocks that store from placing new pay-later orders with you until they settle.

Orders on trade terms

Term orders show "Net-N — awaiting payment". The clock starts at delivery: the due date appears on the order (and for the buyer) once you mark it delivered. When the buyer pays you, open the order and Record payment (amount, method, reference). Partial payments accumulate; the order flips to Paid at full settlement.

Overdue balances are flagged on the order and count against the buyer's credit with your store.

Approving stores for terms

Trade terms are per buyer: a store must be credit-approved by you before term options appear in their checkout, with the term ceiling (7/30/60 days) and an optional credit limit you set. Credit management UI is rolling out — contact support to set up approvals in the meantime.
