Paying for orders

Every wholesaler on TradePantry chooses how they accept payment. When your cart includes items from more than one wholesaler, you choose a payment method per wholesaler at checkout — one order, one delivery per wholesaler, and one payment method per wholesaler.

The payment methods

MethodWhat it means
Pay now by cardThat wholesaler's share is charged to your card when you place the order.
Pay on deliveryNothing is charged at checkout. You pay the wholesaler's driver when the order arrives — cash or EFTPOS, as the wholesaler supports.
Trade terms (7 / 30 / 60 days)Nothing is charged at checkout. The balance is due within the term period after delivery, paid directly to the wholesaler (usually by bank transfer, quoting your order number).

At checkout

  1. Choose a delivery option for each wholesaler (every wholesaler manages their own deliveries — they may arrive on different days). All options are shown per wholesaler with your selection marked; if a wholesaler offers only one option it is selected for you.
  2. On the payment step, pick a payment method for each wholesaler — your choice is marked the same way. If a wholesaler only accepts one method it is pre-selected for you.
  3. The summary shows exactly what happens: Pay now by card, Pay on delivery, and Due later on terms amounts.
  4. Your card is only ever charged the pay now amount.

Trade terms and credit approval

Term payment (e.g. net-30) is offered per store, per wholesaler. If you see a terms option greyed out with "available to credit-approved stores", that wholesaler requires a credit approval for your business first. Once approved, the option becomes selectable at checkout, up to your approved credit limit.

If a balance becomes overdue, the wholesaler may block new pay-on-delivery or terms orders from your store until it is settled — card checkout remains available where the wholesaler accepts it.

After you order

Your confirmation and My orders show, per wholesaler: the delivery status and the payment status — Paid, due to driver on delivery, or the terms due date once the delivery lands. When you pay a driver or settle an invoice, the wholesaler records it and your order shows Paid ✓.
